Nominated for two Off West End Awards (Best Lighting and Best Set Design)"Awesomely powerful" Time OutA critically acclaimed, radical reworking of Dicken's classic, A Christmas Carol. Set in a futuristic, dystopian, big brother state, theatre group dotdash retold the tale of Scrooge as a man surrounded by CCTV cameras, broken architecture, decaying electronics and the ghosts of Christmas future. My role was to provide the visuals for Marley, Scrooge's now dead business partner. Unable to commit to the performance over the length of the run we had to find an innovative way for the actor to be part of the performance while not being present. To do this, we filmed the actor from multiple angles and using custom camera tracking software, interactively projected his performance across 50 disused television screens. This way Scrooge could walk about the stage while engaging with his lost partner. |
